Food: Edible Green Tea Review

Hey friends!
I have got a cool product to share with you guys today!
Its from a company call Eat Green Tea or EatGreenTea.com, they provide packets of edible green tea leaves for a very small price. You are probably going, "Silly girl! You aren't supposed to eat green tea, you are supposed to drink it!" Not with this product! This green tea is safe for eating! Pretty cool huh?

When I received my green tea, it came in small packets, the size of a tea bag. When I opened a packet I found it stuffed to the brim with little green tea leaves. (Silly me forgot to take photos, so I am going to use photos generously provided by the company.)

Lets be real, these are so pretty artsy photos, and some pretty cool leaves. Now what on earth do you do with these leaves? Well one of the suggestions given by the company was a smoothie, and with some fruits beginning to go out of season I was wiling to try it. I got together my usual smoothie ingredients such as milk, sugar, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries, and then grabbed one of my green tea packets. I combine everything including a handful of tea leaves in the blender and hit the button. I was left with a creamy purplish smoothie, ready for consumption.

The verdict on the smooth? Delicious! To be honest, I really couldn't taste the tea leaves much but maybe I just but in too few leaves. The leaves didn't really make a difference in my health, but then again I only had a limited amount so I really wasn't expecting it. I am going to keep using the leaves I was provided in different foods to see how the manner of eating them affects the taste.

All in all, I thought it was a pretty cool product. It is a product that would need to be used over a longer period of time to really see the benefits of it, but I think it would be worth it. The leaves were easy to eat, easy to cook, and I think I great investment. I would recommend trying them and testing it for yourself.

Here is what the company has to say about their product:
"Most of the powerful antioxidants found in green tea leaves are not extracted during the brewing process. When you throw away tea leaves, you are throwing away most of the nutrition. To get the full health benefits of green tea - you need to eat the whole leaf.

When you start EATING green tea instead of simply drinking it you need to be more concerned about what is in the tea leaves. We collected samples from organic farms all over the world and had them analyzed at a lab for the presence of heavy metals. We chose the farm that had the purest tea leaves we could find anywhere. That is the product that we're proud to bring to you - EatGreenTea.

We provide a number of recipes to show you that you can mix it into or put it on top of just about anything you eat. We particularly love it in our smoothies"

So, what do you think? Is this something you would try?

If you are interested in the product, head over to EatGreenTea.com

Love you all!

Adventures: Stress and School

Hey friends!
Let me tell you, out of all the adventures I have been on, the adventure of stress is the least fun. I have officially been in school for a month now and let me tell you it is no fun. Actually, pieces of it are fun, the friends, the football games, and the boys ( wink wink). But the piles of homework, papers, and tests makes me feel like crying at any second. This year I am taking 4 APs and an honors class, plus participating in a varsity sport and multiple clubs. Basically it is a death wish. Not to mention it has killed my social life.

I started off school on a bad foot. I was sick with a stomach virus which was only made worse by the stress of back to school. All throughout the day I had to endure stomach pains, nausea, inability to eat and extreme tiredness. After multiple doctors visits, I finally got to a spot where I thought everything was on the mend....apparently not. For the past almost 2 weeks, I wake up several times at night, and every morning I feel extremely nauseous. Not a fun way to start off your day.

I have no doubt things will only get better from here. Hopefully I will continue to adjust to being back to school and this enormous class load. Im relaxing by spending every minute possible with my family and jamming out to country music in my car.

Here is what I would like to know: How do you, my readers, deal with stress? Do you go to therapists, use relaxation techniques, use a certain diet, what? What do you find helps you the most?

Now for the apology.
I am so sorry I have ignored my duties as a blogger since school began. I have been so stressed and so sick I just couldn't find the willpower to write for you guys. But I promise I will be back to writing at least weekly if not more. Coming up, I have a review of Sunputty Sunscreen, an incredible jewelry line,  a green tea product, and a fun, quirky, crafty sort of product that I'm not really sure how to describe. I will have hopefully at last two of these up this weekend for you guys.

I also have a contest involving one of these products coming up so get ready!

To all of you who are reading this, thanks for sticking around during my absence. It really sucks that I worked so hard to build up this blog and just let it slip away like that. I hope that you guys aren't too mad at me!

I love you all!

Fashion: Bib & Tuck

Hello friends!
I've got something special for you today! It is actually a website!

The website is called Bib & Tuck. It is a unique place online where you can buy and sell clothes. But what makes it different from say Ebay is that you do not use actual money. When you Bib, or sell, something you set a price in the currency in the site. When you sell it, that "money" goes into your account and is taken away form the other persons. Then you can use that "money" to Tuck, or buy, things that you love.

Everything on the site is super high fashion, and most of it is designer. They have everything from Topshop to Prada to Michael Kors and everything in between. I love so many of the clothes, shoes, bags, and accessories on the site its ridiculous!

If you want to check it, here is the website:
https://www.bibandtuck.com/

Want to see my most wanted items right now?

Guys, defiantly go check this sure out. I know you will love it!
Smooches my darlings!

Book: River Magic

Hey friends! So I have got a book for you to day that is a perfect summer read. You know we only have 21 days, or 3 weeks, left in August so take advantage and do some reading!

The book I want to share with you today is a story called River Magic by J M Brown. Now it is the second book in A False Magic Book series, but I read this one without reading the first and had no problems. And you want to know whats great about this book? Its only 99 cents! But we will get to that later. For know lets talk about the story.

The story is about two orphan girls, Aimee and Brenda, who meet in St. Louis, Missouri Territory in 1822. But thats not the coolest part. The book is written using alternate history. This means that the history they are living in is different than the history we experienced. Its kinda like a parallel universe sorta thing, not to mention it was my favorite part of the book. I had never read another book that used this technique and I thought it was ingenious! Not only does it keep the story exciting, it leaves you wondering, "What if this was what history was really like?" Here is an exerpt from the Smashwords decryption of the book that I think describes the alternate history very well.

"In this alternate history, slavery was abolished with the ratification of the U. S. Constitution in 1791. The Iroquois and Cherokee nations fought on the side of the colonies during the revolution and have retained their independence and formed an alliance with the United States against the western savages and the great powers of Europe. "

Pretty sweet huh? So enough of me ranting about the amazingness of alternate history, lets talk more about the story. Aimee and Brenda are recruited to be messengers, carrying top-secret messages for their benefactor, that sometimes cause them trouble. The girls are both very resourceful and adventures, fun characters that are easy to connect to.

When I first started reading this book, I knew it was going to be historical fiction, but I expect some fantasy too from the title, River MAGIC. But I discovered the magic of the story was the journey and the friendship of these two girls.

The only thing I wished had been in the book was more of a love story. I am a huge hopeless romantic and I just adore book relationships.

Honestly guys, I think you would love this book. I would probably give it 4 stars, just because 5 stars are reserved for my all-time favorites like the Harry Potter Series, the Alchemist, and Roald Dahl's books. I would recommend this book for anyone preteen up. It is a young adult book but it is a read everyone can enjoy. I hope you guys decide to read it! If you would like to see for yourself, here are the links to get it:

I hope you choose to get it! I mean its only 99 cents!
Love you all mis chicas!

Fashion: Awake and Dressed

Guys! Do I have a treat for you today!
I recently found a clothing company based in the UK that I think you guys are going to love! The company is called Awake and Dressed. It is Manchester based and creates wonderful T-shirts.
Wondering about quality? They use custom made t-shirts, which they put photographic prints on. They are top quality. They are 100% cotton with a fashionable dart neckline and, according to reviews I've read are extremely soft.
They use Direct to Garment printing which ensures no cracking or fading. I hate it when my tshirts crack, then you have to give them away. One of my favorite shirts cracked once and I was nearly in tears.
Bonus, each shirt comes with a Johnny Wolf exclusive signature on the front corner of the shirt!

Well, what to see them?

Here is an interview we conducted with Awake and Dressed:

1) How long has the company been running for and what made you start?

The company has been running for around about 12 months. Awake and dressed was started because I felt that I wont to try and make a mark.

2) Whats your inspiration behind the designs?

The inspiration behind the designs is everything and anything really. I take a look what’s around me whether it is high street or high end fashion and put my own unique mark on it. I try to create something different that people will like.

3)Whats the main challenges you face?

The main challenge we face is getting out there and people finding us. Its all very well in having a great product and website but if no one knows about it then it's pretty pointless.

4) Whats different about this new range?

We are still using direct to garment printing and a lot of photographic prints. There are lots on new skull ideas that come through in the range. The manin difference though is the new T-shirt  it is 100% cotton with a fashionable dart neckline and an extremely soft touch and feel. The t-shirt features an out of seam detailing on the side of the t-shirt that gives the garment a different and unique look.

5) Whos your target audience?

males and females, aged between 20 and 35. Although anyone is welcome to buy. We do have a women’s section that we are slowly building up.

Okay, so I am super excited they are starting their female line! Right now, I am loving the guys shirts more because I love some of the skull design. I am sure though that once I buy one, I will have to buy 15 more. So hopefully I will in possession of one of these shirts shortly, but until then I will just have to gaze at the website longingly.

Beauty: Noxicare Natural Pain Relief Cream Review and Giveaway!

Hey friends!
So I know I said that I was going to post the review of "River Magic" first, but I just got so excited by this contest I wanted to post this first!

I had the opportunity to review Noxicare Natural Pain Relief Cream. It is a cream that combines 7 of the world's best natural pain relievers to alleviate muscle pain, inflammation, and nerve pain. I had previously heard great things about Noxicare from other bloggers and friends at home so when I got the opportunity to review it, I jumped at the chance.

I experience pain in my knee from a past injury, and in my ankle from achilles tendonitis. On the day when I first tried it I was also experiencing some muscle pain in my shoulder. I have tried everything from pills to ice and while a lot of these feel good for a few minutes they don't last. I need something that while it doesn't give me a permanent fix, it at least reduces the pain for a while.

When I received my cream it was packaged carefully in a box and bubble wrap. It came in a nice box that had facts about Noxicare all over as well as appealing designs such as leaves. Inside the box was a very large tube of the Pain Relief Cream. The sample they gave me to try was a full size tube which was very kind of them (Plus, with how well it worked I'm sure I will end up using the entire tube).

The first thing that I noticed about the cream was the color. It is yellow. This threw me a bit at first because I definitely did not want yellow skin. The other thing I noticed was a lack of smell. The cream in completely odor less. This was great for me because I was headed out for lunch with my friends and had already put on my perfume. Because it is odor less I didn't have to worry about the smell of my perfume and the smell of the perfume mingling.

The cream was easy to put on, and thankfully the yellow rubbed right in. It was creamy and smooth and felt very nice on my skin. With the cream applied I headed out for lunch. Over the course of the day I noticed the lack of pain I felt in the spots I had applied the cream. While I wasn't complete pain free it defiantly helped reduce the pain and get my mind off it. After several hours, the pain started to come back. Over the next couple days I reapplied each morning and each morning I felt even better than the day before. In short, it was awesome.

I would definitely recommend this product. It works great and is easy to use, not to mention comes at a very reasonable price. The lack of smell is great, and while the yellow is shocking at first it ends up not being a problem at all.

If this seems like something you are interested in you can check out Noxicare Natural Pain Relief at www.noxicare.com. Noxicare also produces a pain relief pill if you are interested. You can also check out and like their Facebook page at
https://www.facebook.com/pages/Noxicare-Natural-Pain-Relief/346708844040.

The cream was initially yellow on my skin but all good once I rubbed it in!

Now for the part you have all been waiting for.... my first giveaway! Noxicare has generously offered to giveaway a FULL SIZE tube of their pain relief cream. This is to celebrate getting over 400 views and to celebrate the wonderful product that Noxicare has created. You can enter below. I hope you guys love it!

Adventure: Jekyll

So you guys are probably wondering what I have been doing these past two weeks. Well here is part one of what I did. The first week I was away, I was on Jekyll Island in Georgia for a religious and sports camp. I go with my church and this was my third year going. We stay on the beach, worship god, play sports, and checkout hot guys all day. It is probably my favorite place in the world.

Here are some photos to show you a bit of what Jekyll is like.

Book: Hym and Hur

Hey friends!
Today I wanted to share a review of a short story I had the opportunity to read. The story is Hym and Hur by Phillip Frey.

The story is roughly 8,000 words or 21 pages which makes for a quick read. The story is about a couple, Hym and Hur, who have been in love for over 100 years, who posses magical powers that they use for the good of people and also to pull pranks. In this story Hym and Hur make a deal with death to give a select person the ability to bring people to life with his touch. The story unfolds and shows how Death has tricked Hym and Hur and shows how this "gift" causes both joy and grief.
I really enjoyed reading this story. It took no longer than 25 minutes but left me pondering several questions. Is being able to bring back the dead a gift or a curse? To be honest, I'm not sure of my answer though I think it would go more towards gift. One of my favorite parts of the story was when Hym gave Hur her birthday present.
"“Hang on,” he said, stepping away. He reached into his shirt pocket and pulled out a
ring. He handed it to her and said, “Happy Birthday.”
“Ohhh,” she purred, “what a beautiful stone, black as a starless night.”
“Put it on your finger and bring it close to your eyes,” he told her. “Now look into

it,” he said, “and think about a past event you’d like to see; an hour ago, year ago, a century ago — whenever.”"
I really liked the idea having a ring or a stone that lets you see any event in the past. I thought this was very inventive as I haven't seen many other pieces of literature with similar ideas.
All in all I really enjoyed this story, I think it leaves readers with thought provoking questions while still maintaining a light hearted feel. I would love to read more about Hym and Hur's adventures as I feel very attracted to them as characters especially Hur. I would recommend this story to anyone 16 and up. I think people young and old can appreciate what this story has to offer.

If you are interested in buying and reading this story you can get it HERE for only 99c! Its a great deal, If you have to choose between a new app for your iPhone or this story, definitely go with this story. Here is the url one more time: http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/122852

I hope you guys get the opportunity to read this story. In the comments let me know what you think! Does this sound like something that would interest you? If you do read it, let me know in the comments what you think!

Book: "Fearless"

"Fearless" is the story of Adam Brown, one of the members of SEAL Team 6. When one first hears this, they automatically assume, just as I did, that it is the story of the killing of Osama Bin Laden. But it is not, this story takes place before that historic event, and yet is much more touching, and inspiring than the Osama Bin Laden story could ever be. "Fearless" is the story of Adam Brown, an all-american kid, a drug addict, a father and husband, and an american hero.

One of my favorite parts of the story is when Adam went to Teen Challenge. Teen Challenge is a Christian boot camp of sorts for kids who are dealing with drug addiction. This hit me particularly hard because I know a kid from my church who went to Teen Challenge for two years and just returned. Reading about Adams journey through drug addiction and Teen Challenge gave me a better understanding of what others, such as the kid from my church, go through. It also gave me hope for this kid. If Adam Brown can go from drug addict to a member of SEAL Team 6, what might this kid be able to do? It seems as if the opportunities are endless.

This book was a tear jerker. I can guarantee I cried at least three times while reading this book if not more. As you read, you grow attached to Adam and his team members, and when injury or death befalls them it feels like your heart cracks a little bit. "Fearless" is also a fast read, not because it is simple but because you will not put it down. I finished it in 1 1/2 days because I refused to stop reading to do anything else. The story of Adam Brown is captivating from the first paragraph to the last word.

Eric Blehm does a wonderful job of telling this story, a story that while hard to write, needed to to be told. Blehm writes with wit and class, and portrays Adam in a way that I think suits him, as not a macho guy but instead a humble man who has made mistakes and who cares only to praise god, and love others.

Adam, through the writing of Blehm, teaches us about the power of God and trusting in him with all our heart, all our soul, and all our strength. It is through his faith that Adam managed to leave the dark place of drug addiction and reach the legendary SEAL team 6. It encouraged me in my faith and has the real possibility of teaching those without a faith about the love that is God.

This is book is a must read. I think this would be most enjoyed by people high school age and older. I would recommend this to any of my friends because I feel that it teaches so many lessons especially that people can change. I encourage everyone to pick up a copy and to visit http://fearlessnavyseal.com/ to learn more about Adam Brown and his mission.

*Disclaimer* I received this book for free from "Blogging for Books" in return for an honest review. This review reflects my opinion completely.
